One night I was trying to think of a more efficient way to put THC in the vegetable oil. I finally remembered from my high school physics class that immersing a container in a pot of boiling water would keep whatever is in the container heated at a constant 100 degrees Celsius. Isn't science great? So, the housemate and I took a glass jar, put into it the 1/2 cup of oil required by the brownie mix (Pillsbury Fudge Brownies, my preferred brand because it requires more oil than other mixes and it was an affordable $.99 at Safeway), and set the jar in the middle of a pot of boiling water. Then I dropped an eighth of (destemmed, deseeded, and finely chopped) MJ into the oil, where I left it for one hour. No smoke, no scorching, just a nice herbal aroma from the jar.
I then mixed up the batter, pouring the oil (after letting it cool) along with the green stuff still in it into the batter. (Be extremely careful not to overbake and let the brownies burn!) The resulting brownies were declared by all those who partook of them to be an unqualified success, leaving everyone well satisfied. The herbal material in the brownies gave them an interesting texture, too. If you have the time and the resources to try this super-efficient and healthier method of cannabis consumption, I highly recommend it.
